The Coupe Concept was designed by Thomas Ingen­lath and took inpsiration from the shape of the P1800Volvo P1800Sweden, 1961 > 19734 versions

but stretched into more of a luxury GT. Details like the crystal gearshift would probably not make it to the production model, but the car is mostly production ready. 

The car could be on sale as late 2014 and would use Volvo's new Drive-E four-cylinder engine family. It would likely get the top turbocharged hybrid engine with 400hp and 600Nm (442.5lb-ft) of torque. More basic versions of the new engine family will be introduced early next year.
