The Mexican brand
Vuhl created a more radical circuit version based on its first production model the
05. The
05RR was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival.
Twenty kilos lighter than the 05 (at 675kg) and more aerodynamic, the 05RR withdrew some of the comforts that can be found in the production version of the sports car and created a more aggressive setting for the chassis.
05RR is equipped with the same 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine of the 05. The engine is based on the current unit placed in the Ford Focus RS, but in the case of the 05RR it has a 390hp output and 500Nm of torque. The racing version swapped the manual six-speed gearbox of the 05 for a six speed Sadev sequential gearbox which allows it to reach 100km/h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 254km/h.
