Porsche unveiled the Boxster GTS in 2014 with an improved engine and PASM suspension.

The redesigned front and modified rear, the darkened bi-xenon headlights and model logo abroad in gloss black were some of the small changes in design for the GTS.

The six-cylinder boxer engine of the Boxster GTS is based on the 3.4 engine of the Boxster S. Thanks to new optimization and tuning, Porsche has managed to increase the power by 15hp. This means that the Boxster GTS has a power of 330hp. The Sport Chrono Package is fitted as standard meaning that with the optional PDK box and Sport Plus mode activated, the Boxster GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. With regard to maximum speed the Boxster (with manual six-speed gearbox) reaches a maximum speed of 281km/h. The GTS is the first two-seat mid-engine model from Porsche to be certified according to Euro 6 standards, achieving an average fuel consumption, with the PDK, of 8.2 l/100 km (9.0 l/100km with the manual gearbox).

With the combination of PASM and Sport Chrono Package as standard, the Boxster GTS allows the driver to switch between sporty damping and, secondly, the rolling comfort when traveling long distances by just pressing a button. The version comes standard with sports seats and leather interior. As in other versions of Porsche GTS the vehicle receives some trim in Alcantara.

With this version, Porsche extends the GTS concept to the Boxster. The combination of letters debuted with the 904 Carrera GTS904 Carrera GTSPorsche 904 Carrera GTSGermany, 1964 > present1 photo

Boxster

Porsche launched a mid-engined roadster model called Boxster in 1996 and it was inspired by the 1993 Boxster Concept. The first generation known internally as 986 was powered by a 2.5l flat 6 cylinder engine. By sharing parts with other models Porsche was able to reduce costs and many experts believe that the launch of the Boxster saved the company from acquisition. This series used Porsche's first water-cooled non-front engine, a flat 6 cylinder unit. A minor facelift was perform...  more
