The 2010 Cayenne is available in five versions: Cayenne, Cayenne Hybrid, Cayenne S, Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne Turbo. According to Porsche three of the five versions of the Cayenne should consume less than ten litres per 100 km and two of them will have CO2 emissions under 200 g/km, as part of the brand’s intent to develop vehicles with “more power on less fuel, greater efficiency and lower CO2 emissions”.

The Cayenne is a mid-size luxury crossover manufactured since 2002 and marketed across two generations so far. The 2nd generation Cayenne debuted in 2010.
The SUV is available as five seater and is equipped with a V8 front engine and four-wheel drive. Since the discontinuation of the Porsche 928 in 1995, the Cayenne is Porsche's first V8 engined model. Some of the Cayenne's parts, such as frame and doors are sourced from Volkswagen's Touareg model.
