Lexus revealed the look of the RC F at the 2014 NAIAS.

The RC F uses an all-new 5.0-liter V8 with at least 450hp and 383lb-ft of torque that can switch between the Atkinson cycle while cruising and the Otto cycle at higher rpm to balance fuel economy and power. During cruising, the intake valves stay open longer, which allows for better thermal efficiency and better fuel economy. During hard driving, it operates like a regular engine to sacrifice economy for power.

The only available transmission is an eight-speed automatic, and the RC F has a new torque vectoring rear differential that directs power between the rear wheels while cornering.

The RC F also gets a stiffer chassis thanks to a front lower brace, more body adhesives and increased welding. It also rides are wider tires and wheels than the standard car. An optional package adds a carbon fiber roof and carbon fiber active rear spoiler.
