The fourth generation of the Mitsubishi Lancer came out in 1988, unveiling a more aerodynamic-shaped automobile than its predecessors.
In the company’s homecountry, Japan, this model’s sedan version was commercialized as the Mitsubishi Mirage Aspire.
The Lancer IV wouldn’t last for more than 4 years on the markets, as Mitsubishi began replacing it with the 5th generation model in 1991 and completely cut off its production the following year.
