Being such a small car, there are not many ways to differentiate the styling between the Citigo and Up. The Citigo wears the Skoda corporate front end and has a more conventional front bumper compared the Up. The exterior dimensions are exactly the same as the Up with a length of 3.56m, width of 1.65m and height of 1.48m. The interior room is identical to the Up with 251 liters with the rear seats up or 951 liters with them down.

Mechanically, the car is basically identical to the up.It also has the road-sensing system from the Up that can bring the car to a stop if it senses a hazard while traveling below 30km/h. It gets the same pair of petrol 1.0 liter engines. Engine outputs are either 60hp and 75hp depending on engine. The standard version car uses either 4.5l/100km or 4.7l/100km and produces either 105g or 108g of CO2 per kilometer

There is also a Green Tec version of the car that cleans up the emissions and improves fuel economy. The Green Tec versions of the car uses either 4.2l/100km or 4.3l/100km and produces either 97g or 99g of CO2 per kilometer.
