Since November last year a team of 16 apprentices of the Skoda design school have been challenged to create this vehicle to be presented in Wörthersee. The team was given carte blanche to create the CitiJet and Skoda Board Member Bohdan Wojnar states that the vehicle "is an emotive concept that will surely draw the attention of visitors at the Wörthersee".

The Citijet gets a metallic blue paint and 16 inches alloy wheels, plus a rear spoiler and dual exhaust. The power of the vehicle comes from a 1.0-liter 75hp petrol engine that is part of the CitigoCitigo 1.0i Ambition AutomaticSkoda Citigo 1.0i Ambitio...Czech Rep., 2011 > present2 photos
range. In the standard version of the model the vehicle can reach 100km/h in 13.9 seconds and a top speed of 171km/h.

Inside, the cabin of the CitiJet is based on the Citigo Sport and includes some finishes in leather with red and white on the instrument panel, plus bespoke carpets. Other features include an improved sound equipment and a LED lighting system that reacts to music.

The Wörthersee festival is traditionally used as a platform for launching numerous concepts of the VW Group. This year's edition takes place between the 28th and 31st of May.
