The first generation of the VW Up! was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA).
Designed by Volkswagen Group Chief Designer Walter de'Silva the up! model is based on Volkswagen Group's MQB platform short wheelbase.
Inspired by the concept up! of the 2007 IAA, the up! is a front-wheel drive with transverse engine vehicle and is 2.54 metres long has a wheelbase of 2.42 m and has its cabin configurated with four seats.
