Smart will reveal the third-generation Fortwo at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10, and it is getting a brand new chassis and new engines. Smart is betting heavily on the new rear-engine platform. The new Forfour will still be rear-engined but offer significantly more room than the Fortwo. A new Smart crossover will use the same platform and also be a larger vehicle.
