Suzuki Swift (Japan, 2004-present)

In 2013 Suzuki added the 4x4 variant to the Swift lineup. The variant is available with a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 93hp and 87lb-ft of torque, a five-speed manual transmission and permanent all-wheel drive system.

The Swift 4X4 rides 25mm (1in) higher than the standard car. The SZ3 trim is identical to the standard five-door Swift, and the SZ4 trim level adds front and rear skid plates, power folding door mirrors, daytime running lights, black side skirts and black wheel arch extensions.

The all-wheel drive system uses a viscous coupling to transfer power to the rear wheels only when needed to increase traction. The system adds 65kg (143lb) to the car’s weight and increases emissions by 10g/km of CO2 to 126g/km of CO2.
