is taking inspiration from Pixar and producing a series of animated shorts for the rest of the races this season.

The first one premiered last weekend for the British Grand Prix, and McLaren plans to release another for each race this season. It is a cute little video that borrows a general style from Cars and Pixar. The plot is that Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button have to go to the McLaren technical center to test a new car.

There are a few funny jokes about McLaren like that they have one off Nigel Mansell's original moustaches stored in their museum. The cars have a deformed style similar to Cars, and the video features versions of the MP4-12CMP4-12CMcLaren MP4-12CUnited Kingdom, 2012 > present544 photos

These videos are a great idea. They appeal to kids to get them more interested in Formula 1 but are easy to watch for adults. It will be interesting to see where these videos go from here.

One weird aspect is how Hamilton and Button are portrayed. Hamilton jumps around like a manic ninja, and Button is a very suave James Bond-style character.

This is super! Very refreshing. Well done, lads. Now all we need is a Wallace and Gromit cameo in the next episode :D
