gets an all-new engine that has a complete new concept that is expected to bring forward the team in the order. New design is similar to the other two cars unveiled so far.

All-new RE17 engine for the new Renault RS17

The biggest change for the the 2017 season in Renault is definitely the new RE17 engine. The new powertrain was completely developed from scratch in an attempt to go away from the previous engine failure that almost sent Red Bull away from Renault engines.

According to the team the new RE17 has allowed the new RS17 to gain 0.3 seconds per lap in comparison with the previous engine. Renault hopes it can bring the same pace to races and improve its results this season.

New Renault RS17 design

For the 2017 season Renault has followed the same design changes as Williams and Sauber. The rear wing of the RS17 has been re-shaped and at the front it also gets the same thumb-tip nose design.

Expected to be featured on all cars this year, the new RS17 also features a shark fin at the back.

Renault's goals for the 2017 Formula One season

In 2017 Renault will be expecting to improve its race results and also its overall rankings in the Constructors World Championship. Its goal for the season is to finish at least in fifth position as this season the whole car and structure is completely controlled by the Renault Sport F1 Team.

Nico Hulkenberg and Sergey Sirotkin will make the honors of driving the new RS17 car. While Hulkenberg is just arriving to Renault, joining from Force India, Sirotkin is already a member of the family and has been promoted from third driver to a place on the 2017 grid.
