revealed its 2013 W04 chassis at Jerez a day before Formula 1 testing will begin at the track. The car has three major changes for the new season but only two of them really affect the car - a new nose, Blackberry sponsorship and Lewis Hamilton.

Mercedes made some changes to the car compared to last year. It has a new, conical nose that smooths the front end. It also has a new five-element front wing and a second-generation Coanda exhaust. It retains a pushrod front suspension and pullrod rear suspension.

"The restructuring we undertook at the team over the past 18 months are now growing in maturity and this is reflected in the F1 W04, which is a clear step forward in design and detail sophistication over its predecessor," said Team Principal Ross Brawn.

Newly renamed Blackberry, formerly Research in Motion, is sponsoring the W04 with its name prominently on the side of the car under the cockpit. The sponsorship involves the team using Blackberry phones and Blackberry branding on their headsets.
