Red Bull Signs Daniel Ricciardo for 2014

He is the second driver to move from Toro Rosso to Red Bull

has confirmed that it has signed Daniel Ricciardo to Red Bull for 2014. It did not give any further details on the length of the deal beyond that he would drive for them in 2014. 

“It’s fantastic to confirm Daniel as the team’s race driver for 2014. He’s a very talented youngster, he’s committed, he’s got a great attitude and in the end it was a very logical choice for us to choose Daniel," said Christian Horner. 

Ricciardo became a Red Bull Junior Team member in 2008, and the company has sponsored him through Formula 3 and Renault World Series. He moved to Formula 1 in 2010 first as a test driver for Toro RossoToro RossoToro RossoItaly, 2006 > present10 models

"I'm not here to run around in tenth place, I want to get the best results for myself and the team. I would like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to show what I can do," said Ricciardo.

The 24-year-old Australian will replace Australian Mark Webber on the team. Webber will join PorschePorschePorscheGermany, 1931 > present43 models

Ricciardo is the second driver to move from Toro Rosso to Red Bull. The first was Sebastian Vettel.
