Hyundai i30 Wagon Debuting at Geneva Motor Show

Hyundai will reveal its new i30 five-door wagon at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is the European sibling to the American Elantra GT that was revealed at the Chicago Motor Show. Despite riding on the same chassis and filling the same niche, the two cars are quite different in terms of styling. Where the Elantra GT appears almost boring, the new i30 five-door has quite aggreesive front styling with large, clear head lights and pronounced fenders.

The i30 wagon will share the same engines and transmissions with the standard i30 five-door producing between 90ps and 135ps. The wagon is 185mm longer than the five door to carry 150 liters more cargo. With the rear seats down, cargo capacity increases to 1,642 liters

Our new wagon offers all of those attributes plus even greater load-carrying capacity.  We expect it to appeal strongly to those looking for stylish and flexible practicality, especially active families.” said Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President of Hyundai Motor Europe.

The i30 wagon will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6 at 9:45am CET.
