Skoda unveils off-road styled Kodiaq Scout

will be unveiling at this year's Geneva Motor Show the new Kodiaq Scout, a more off-road-ready version of the seven-seat SUV. Revealed ahead of its world debut in March the new Scout variant will receive a more underbody protection and Off-Road Assist.

 

Underbody Protection

 
One of the main differences between the regular Skoda KodiaqKodiaq 1.4 TSISkoda Kodiaq 1.4 TSICzech Rep., 2017 > present and Kodiaq Scout is the underbody protection. Combined with an increased ground clearance of 194mm the SUV this helps to ensure less damage chances when off-roading.
 
The underbody protection also introduces a very clear design compared to the regular Kodiaq coming from underneath the front and rear bumpers. It has a silver finish and is visually divided into three sections. 
 

Specific Skoda Kodiaq Scout styling accents

 
As with other Scout variants on the Skoda range, the Kodiaq Scout gets specific styling accents which include silver trim around the front grille, side windows and wing mirror housings. Silver roof rails have also been added to the Scout version.
 
The Kodiaq Scout also gets specific 19in alloys, a tinted rear window and side windows. Scout badges have been placed on the car’s front wing.
 

Engines and Technology

 
The Scout variant of the Skoda Kodiaq will get four of the five available engines on the standard model range. So the Kodiaq Scout will be available with two petrols (1.4 TSI 150PS and 2.0 TSI 180PS) and two diesels (2.0 TDI 150PS and 2.0 TDI 190PS.
 
Featuring standard on the new Kodiaq Scout will the four-wheel drive systema and DSG automatic gearbox. Helping to improve traction the SUV has been fitted with Off-Road Assist. Hill-Hold and Hill-Descent systems are also standard.
