*Updated* Lexus LF-LC 2+2 is the Family Supercar

*Update* Lexus has released two more pictures of the LF-LC ahead of the car's debut next week. One shows the car from the other side as the previous image, and the other finally shows the car from the front. No wonder Lexus waited to show the front of the car until now because it is polarizing to say the least. It uses the front end-styling of the new GS, but it just looks awkward here. It is a little fish-like. Maybe it is just a bad angle. We will know more when we see the rest of the car next week.

Well, we can finally put a face with a name. Those pictures of an un-named concept that Lexus had slowly been leaking out, finally has a name but not much more information to go with it. The car is the Lexus LF-LC, and it will debut at the NAIAS on January 9 at 1:25pm.

“Crafted from a clean sheet of paper at the request of Lexus headquarters in Japan, the LF-LC blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine. The clean lines of the vehicle emphasize motion, creating a distinctive look for this futuristic sport coupe,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager.

The design is very LF-A inspired, but perhaps a little more grown up, especially if the interior image that Lexus released gives a realistic impression. Where the LF-A is an all-out sports cars, the LF-LC seems to be a gentleman’s GT car.

Lexus is saying that the car was created as a design study for now, but the way these things usually go is if it creates enough buzz in Detroit we might see the car on the road.

No, this is not linked to the GT86, but to the existing Lexus LF-A, some categories higher than the GT86. This is not a Celica replacement, but a Jaguar/Aston Martin competitor. From which it seems fa...

Oh man! Side profile was looking pretty good, now the front photo sends it all down in flames, very fussy. But I'll eat my words if it's just an unfortunate angle

Well, I'm waiting to see what kind of engine it carries (hopefully the V8) and this car has a lot of bad angles. Looks good at some angles, but weird at some. Strange.
