2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Grand Cherokee is getting a new eight-speed automatic, a new nose with LED running lights in the headlights, new taillights, a 3.0-liter diesel V6 as an engine option and more upgrades.

The new eight-speed automatic is available in all of the Grand Cherokees engines and gives the diesel 30mpg highway, the Pentastar V6 25mpg highway and 21mpg highway for the 5.7-liter Hemi in the SRT model.

The 3.0-liter V6 diesel makes 240hp and 420lb-ft of torque and is available with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It can tow up to 7,400lbs and has a 730-mile range.

The Grand Cherokee is meant to be a real off-road SUV and is available with three separate all-wheel drive systems. Quadra-Trac I is the basic system and uses a single-speed transfer case for all-wheel drive. Quadra-Trac II uses a two-speed transfer case and move 100% of the power between axles. Quadra-Drive II adds an electronic limited-slip differential to also be able to send power to the left or right side. This system comes with Select Terrain that lets the driver choose between sand, mud, snow, rock and auto traction modes.

The car is also available with Quadra-Lift air suspension with five modes that give between 11.3in and 8.1in of ground clearance depending on what the driver needs.

Inside, the new center stack comes with either Chrysler's 5in or 8.4in UConnect infotainment system. It also gets a new steering wheel and gauge cluster design.

2014 Jeep Compass

The Compass is also getting a few upgrades. It gets a new nose to more closely match the upgraded Grand Cherokee. Its major change is a new six-speed automatic transmission that gives it 30mpg highway fuel economy.

The exterior gets new mirror caps, new taillights, 18in wheels, more chrome trim and a new trim level for the interior. The Compass Limited interior package gets Saddle Brown leather.

2014 Jeep Patriot

The Patriot gets the fewest upgrades for next year. It gets the same six-speed automatic as the Compass and standard side-mounted airbags.
