, which is home to Volvo’s new Iron Mark. The T-shaped Thor’s Hammer lights deliver a powerful sense of direction that makes the S90 unmistakable on the road.
Inside this low, four-door coupé, Volvo has taken cues from the success of its XC90 model. However it raised it to another level by introducing details on the new dashboard and instrument panel, including new air blades that stand vertically on each side of the Sensus user interface.

Following Volvo's strategy of introducing autonomous driving cars in its range by 2018, the S90 already features semi-autonomous drive. With the premium model the Swedish brand is launching the  IntelliSafe Assist as standard, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Distance Alert and the advanced semi-autonomous drive feature, Pilot Assist.

The Pilot Assist system is an autonomous technology which gives gentle steering input to keep the car properly aligned within lane markings up to motorway speeds of around (130 km/h) and no longer needs to follow another car.

Showing that the brand is also environment aware, the S90 will be available with the  clean and powerful T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid powertrain, delivering up to 410 hp, which can be driven in three different modes: Pure, Hybrid and Power. The remaining powertrain range should be identical to the one from the XC90.

The S90 also introduces a new safety function (City Safety) which detects large animals such as large deer, horses or moose/elk, night or day. It warns the driver and offers brake support in order to avoid or mitigate collisions.
