Renault Zoe

Renault ZOE has been awarded a five-star rating by Euro NCAP. The small electric car obtained an overall score of 82 percent, including a maximum rating for pedestrian safety. As an electric vehicle, it is equipped with a system that provides an audible warning of its approach. The sound emitted was developed in association with organisations for blind and visually-impaired people.

Renault Zoe

Renault ZOE’s safety performance is comparable with that of an internal combustion-engined vehicle. In a head-on impact, Renault ZOE’s front occupants are protected by two airbags, as well as seat cushion airbags, along with seat belts equipped with pretensioners and load limiters. At the rear, all seats are equipped three three-point seat belts, plus load limiters for the two outer seats.

Skoda Octavia

The new ŠKODA Octavia has been awarded five stars for its high level of safety in the Euro NCAP crash tests. Euro NCAP awarded top marks for the circumferential occupant protection of adults seated in the front. The new ŠKODA Octavia achieved 93% of the possible number of points in this category.

Skoda Oktavia

The Octavia also achieved very good results in terms of child safety. The Euro NCAP test engineers gave a high rating in pedestrian protection for the new ŠKODA Octavia. Additionally, the testers were impressed by the Octavia’s innovative safety assistance systems, including the equipment fitted as standard in EU countries such as electronic stability control (ESC) and the driver and passenger seatbelt reminder.

Toyota Auris

Launched at beginning of the year, the new Auris has become the first C-segment model to achieve a 5-star rating according to the new 2013 Euro NCAP testing programme. Equipped with ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and an emergency brake signal function, the new Auris is also equipped with driver and front passenger, knee, side and curtain shield SRS airbags.

Toyota Auris

The use of a variety of energy absorbing components including a bumper support and a lower tray that helps to minimise collision energy has allowed the optimisation of pedestrian impact performance.

Toyota RAV4

As the first SUV to achieve a 5-star rating according to the new 2013 Euro NCAP standards, the new RAV4 features an impact absorbing, multi-load-path body construction designed to help provide occupant protection. It is equipped with a new, whiplash injury reducing seat design, and 7 airbags are fitted as standard, including a driver’s knee airbag and twin-chamber front seat side airbags.

Toyota RAV4

Active safety systems include ABS with EBD, BA (Brake Assist), TRC (Traction Control), and VSC+, which integrates the VSC and the Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems for improved vehicle stability. The new RAV4 may also be equipped with three new technologies –an Automatic High Beam system, a Lane Departure Alert system and a Blind Spot Monitor system.
