with more power, a carbon fiber body kit, and Cosworth suspension. Even more, the upgrades will be available to the public as a modification to the car.
The major change to the car is that Cosworth tuned the 3.8-liter V6 to 389hp and 325lb-ft of torque. Cosworth improved the engine's thermal efficiency, new induction and exhaust systems and new ECU. The car's standard V6 makes 348hp and 295lb-ft of torque.
In addition to the engine upgrades, Cosworth has designed a carbon fiber body kit for the Genesis Coupe. The car shown at SEMA is painted in a deep, satin-gloss blue. The body kit includes an aero front splitter, gunmetal wheels, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. The interior gets a Cosworth steering wheel, shift knob, shift boot, pedals and sport seats.
Cosworth has also added its own big brake kit and suspension to the show car.
“The rear-drive Genesis Coupe is simply a great platform from which to build our ultimate Cosworth Genesis Racing Series street model. The Cosworth Genesis Racing Series Coupe truly demonstrates the purpose-built performance potential of the affordable Genesis Coupe line. We’re proud to partner with Hyundai for this ultimate racing series model," said Nicole Armbrustmacher, director of marketing, Cosworth Americas.
Prices and availability for the parts will be revealed at the SEMA Show that runs from October 30 to November 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
