This Toyota Matrix was launched in 2010. It is the 2nd generation of the compact model. At a cost of $18.845, it marks the entry-level of the line-up. Powered by a 1798cc engine, this model variant has a power output of 132 hp. This is the entry-level of this series line-up. This Matrix has the least powerful engine amongst all variants. The powertrain of this Matrix has been mated with a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of efficiency, this car's combined fuel consumption is fixed at 8.4 l/100km. The compact is the most fuel-efficient out of the series range. It is in fact the one with lowest fuel consumption. This compact variant has rack & pinion steering. It uses disc brakes. The front suspension is independent while at the rear torsion-beam axle is employed. As for the seating arrangement, it offers space for up to 5 persons.
