Wiesmann, the German boutique manufacturer of powerful two seat roadsters, is using the Spyder unveiling to test industry and consumer reaction before deciding whether the Spyder concept will go into production.

Wiesmann has a tradition of using retuned BMW M division engines. The Spyder concept will be powered by a retuned version of the M3’s normally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 Weighting just 998kg the 419 PS concept is said to reach a top speed of 289 km/h.
