about this car

We look at the 2012 911 RSR as the ultimate evolution of the 997. This year's RSR was widened by 48mm to make it legal in A.C.O "LM" GTE racing. That means this car is capable of racing at the Le Mans 24 Hours, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the Le Mans Series, the American Le Mans Series as well as the International GT Open.

The RSR is powered by a 4.0 liter flat-six engine producing 460hp (338kW) with a sequential six-speed gearbox controlled by steering wheel-mounted paddles.

The nose and rear have been modified this year to adapt to the rear fenders. Air is ducted to the engine via openings in the rear wheel flairs as opposed to the engine-mounted scoop on last year's model.
