Opel is starting a search for Europe’s greenest driver with the ecoFLEX Experience, a European competition where drivers can show their fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly driving skills. The search under the motto “Green Drivers Wanted” will start on April 1st, with ecoflex series cars being provided by Opel. The winner will receive the keys of the first Opel Ampera cars ever built.
The German brand will be searching throughout Europe for the driver who can better make use of the fuel-saving potential of Opel’s models. When the ecoFEX Experience starts in April, drivers will have to show their knowledge about fuel efficiency smarts in an online quiz before moving to an Internet simulator to prove their virtual driving and gas-saving abilities.
The best driver from each of the 20 participating countries will then participate in a multi-day event that will be held in Sweden in the summer. At the Sturup Raceway in Malmö a pan-European competition will see the announcement of the ecoFLEX Experience champion.
As the winner of the ecoFLEX Experience the driver will guarantee the keys of one of the very first Opel Ampera production cars, set to start being mass-produced at the end of 2011.
Interested participants can make their registration online at www.ecoflex-experience.com.
