*Updated* Compact Premium Infiniti Coming to Europe in 2015

*Update: Infiniti clarified that the premium compact car will be closer in style to the Etherea concept instead of the LE concept. 

"Etherea concept showed a future direction of the premium compact which is due to be built in Europe (no location yet confirmed) and mainly aimed at Europe but will be global car, so it will be available in other markets, too," said Infiniti PR representative Nathalie Greve.

from last year. Infiniti has decided that the new will be built in-house in Europe. The new small car will be launched in 2015.

The new car will share a platform with Mercedes and will likely use the Nissan/Daimler co-developed four-cylinder engine family. Infiniti plans to announce the precise production location closer to the start of production.

Infiniti had considered building the new car at the Magna Steyr factory in Austria but has decided to build it themselves in Europe.
