Aston Martin must be proud of the V12 Zagato's performance racing at the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring because it has decided to put the car into production in very limited numbers at a very steep price.
The V12 Zagato will be limited to 150 units and cost ₤330,000 GBP, or about €369,000 at current exchange rates. Aston Martin says that each car will be handmade at its Gaydon factory. The first cars will be delivered in the second half of 2012. Aston Martin has not said so far if the Zagato will be available outside of Europe.
The car is powered by the same 6 liter V12 used in the DBS and V12 Vantage, which makes 510hp and 420lb/ft, and its body is made from aluminum and carbon fiber components.
The car's design is meant to be reminiscent of the DB4GT Zagato from 1960, and the V12 Zagato won the award for Design in the Concepts and Prototypes Class at Villa D' Este Concours.
