has announced its new model plans through 2014. The 2012 fiscal year was BMW's best ever. Without going into many specifics, BMW Group says that it will launch 11 new models in 2013 and 15 models in 2014. Ten of the 25 new models will be brand new cars without predecessors.

and BMW 4 Series are also likely among them. That is only seven of the 25 cars, which means that BMW has a lot of secrets to tell in the coming 12 months.
BMW also says that it has had several hundred pre-orders for the i3. Mass production of the cars will begin later this year, and the first pre-production models rolled out of the factory in January. When it goes on sale, the i3 will have a pure EV range of 150km (93 miles). It will also be offered with an optional range extender, but BMW has not revealed what effect it will have on range.
BMW Group's goal for 2016 is to sell two million cars. It spent €5.2 billion in 2012 on improving factories to prepare for the new cars and €3.95 billion on research and development.
The company now has 105,876 employees, a 5.6% over the previous year, to prepare to build these new cars.
