BMW Begins Tour of i-Series in Rome

and i8, in Rome at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. Over the next year, BMW will take the i-series to Dusseldorf, Tokyo, New York, London, Paris, and Shanghai. The point of the tour is to introduce the i-series cars to a wider audience who may not have seen them at car shows. 

“We are very proud that this world tour is starting out from Italy and from the city of Rome. This major urban city is predestined for innovative solutions and we wanted to confirm our commitment to sustainable mobility. Furthermore, we believe that the automobile represents an asset for society in terms of contributing to the creation of value, and at the same time, represents an irreplaceable means of individual mobility," said BMW Italy President Franz Jung.

BMW is working with an artist in each city, and in Rome it will be working with architect Fabio Novembre. HIs project is to create an interpretation of the city of Rome to display with the cars. 

The exhibition in Rome will be open to the public on June 22 and 23.
