BMW is not giving a precise date when the new M models will be released, but it says that the M4 and M3 will debut at the same time.
“The BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe represent an ongoing commitment to this philosophy. The engine is the heart of every M model, and the example fitted in the two new cars combines the virtues of a high-revving naturally aspirated unit with the strengths of turbocharger technology,” said Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, President of BMW M GmbH.
BMW also released a video showing the cars off testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It gives a better idea of what the new cars will sound like and has commentary from the test drivers.
