Buick Debuts 250hp Verano Turbo to Go on Sale Later this Year

Buick predicts that the car will accelerate to 60mph in 6.7 seconds regardless of transmission. 

“Buick’s engine strategy continues to be driven by intelligent performance. Four-cylinder engines, turbocharging and eAssist are all the right solutions for today’s market. With these advanced technologies, Buicks are more efficient without sacrificing their smooth, quiet character," said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing.

WardsAuto awarded the 2.0 Ecotec Turbo its 10Best Engines Award for North America in 2011. 

The pricing for the Verano will be announced closer to when the car goes on sale late in the year. Currently the top Verano costs $26,850 and the cheapest Buick Regal is $27,055. It seems believable that the Verano Turbo would cost right around $27,000.
