has been rated at 41 miles per gallon on the highway in the US for the Aero model trim that uses the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine. The Dart has begun arriving on dealer lots in the US in the past weeks but not all of the trims are yet on sale.

In comparison to the standard Dart, the Aero trim gets aluminum chassis components, active grill shutters, underbody aero kit, lower ride height and low-rolling resistance tires. The cars are rated at 41mpg highway with the six-speed manual or 40mpg highway with the six-speed dual clutch transmission. The 8.4in touchscreen navigation system and 7in instrument panel display are also optionally available on the Aero.

Prices for the Aero trim start at $20,090 including the destination charge. Production of the trim has just begun, and they will arrive at dealers late in the third quarter.

Standard Darts start at $16,790 for base model cars.
