Ferrari is using the launch of the facelifted version of the
FF to change it inside and out and rename, keeping it line with the tradition of the Italian brand. The new model will be revealed in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
Besides the new name, the
GTC4 Lusso gets some updates in terms of design, including aerodynamic improvements such as a new front grille with integrated air intakes, new air intakes on the rear wing, a rear spoiler placed on the roof and a new diffuser. Thanks to these changes, Ferrari states that it managed to significantly reduce the drag coefficient in comparison with the FF.
Ferrari says that the new GTC4 Lusso is aiming on a younger audience than the one that the Italian brand is accustomed. The model will become Ferrari's reference grand tourer as with the FF, customers tend to drive more kilometers than any other model in its range.
The GTC4 Lusso remians equipped with the 6.2-liter V12, however, the output was increased to 690hp, with a torque of 697Nm. Power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch. Thanks to the updated engine, the new GTC4 Lusso can reach 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 335km/h. Like the FF, the new model also has all-wheel drive.
The main changes in the four-seat cabin is the new infotainment system developed by Delphi. The vehicle also receives a 10.25 inch screen, substantially larger than the one featured in the FF. The dimensions of the fsteering wheel decreased due to a more compact airbag and it features more ergonomic controls.
