While announced at the Bologna Motor Show in 2011, the Ferrari 599XX with the evolution package took to the track publically for the first time on March 18 during the Ferrari Racing Days at the Suzuka circuit in Japan.
The 599XX Evolution gets significant aerodynamic changes including an active rear wing, 35kg less weight and a 20hp boost to a total of 740hp and 700Nm of torque at 9,000rpm.
It is odd to see Ferrari to continue to develop the 599 chassis since the road car has been discontinued. It makes you wonder, if Ferrari plans to develop of F12XX Berlinetta or similar vehicle?
Check out the video below to see and hear the 599XX in Japan. Say what you will about its looks, but it is very racy with a F1-like exhaust note.
