says that it has upgrades ready for the F2012 that will be on the car at the European Grand Prix. According to Ferrari, the keys to performing well in Valencia are good traction and performing well in slow corners.

For this race, Ferrari has a new front wing and new floor. In Canada, it went from a complicated exhaust layout to a simplified one. It is sticking with the same basic exhaust design but modifying it slightly for Valencia. Ferrari says that it has even more upgrades planned for the car on future races.

The team knows that top speed is its real weakness, but thankfully Valencia will not show this problem because of its tight confines. The team is working on upgrades for future races that will improve the F2012's top speed.

“It’s all down to a huge amount of work, from a large number of people, with particular emphasis on aerodynamics, design and production. It’s been intense over the past few months resulting in a big improvement in car performance. We have worked with determination to deal with all the negative points we picked up right from the first test in the winter," said Nikolas Tombazis, Scuderia Ferrari’s Chief Designer.

The success of Ferrari and especially Fernando Alonso have been one of the major stories this season in Formula 1. Before the season began, Ferrari was saying that the car was not ready and might not be competitive for the season. Then, Fernando Alonso won during the second race of the season at Malaysia. He has taken second and third place finishes this season as well. HIs team mate Felipe Massa is another story who has been struggling the whole season.
