and PSA have ended their agreement to co-develop large diesel engines. While not explicitly stated be either side, this is likely due to GM buying a share of PSA, and the two companies will share components and platforms in the future.
The two companies will continue to share the 1.4l and 1.6l engines that they developed together in the past. However, the development of larger than 2.0l diesel engines has been canceled.
Ford and Peugeot began making diesel engines together in 2002. The engines have been in a variety of Ford, Peugeot, Citroën Volvo and even Mini products.
