Ford Planning Cheaper, Fiesta-Based Compact

The Fiesta is already sold in many markets, but the new car would be even cheaper

The market for inexpensive cars is growing. As the global market continues to weaken, people have less money to spend on a car. "We are looking around the world at opportunities to offer a car priced below the Fiesta," said Ford CEO Alan Mulally during the Go Further dealer event. 

The Fiesta is Ford's best-selling model in Europe. While it sells the smaller, cheaper KaKa Gen.2 [II]Ford Ka Gen.2 [II]United Kingdom, 2008 > 201326 versions
