“I’m very pleased with the behavior of the car in the fast sections and when the road is bumpy. Of course, we will continue working on some areas but overall I find the car very well balanced and easy to handle,” said Bouffer about the test in France.

The test in Finland put stress on the suspension over the stage’s famous jumps. The team had upgraded the exterior of the car slightly since the test in France for better high-speed balance.

“I felt that I could trust the car immediately and the feeling got stronger day after day,” said Hänninen.

The i20 WRC will make its race debut at the Rallye Monte Carlo in January 2014.

“With new features on the car on every test session there’s a lot of work to be done not only on the ground but also back at the factory in order to get the car ready,” said Team Principal Michel Nandan.
