is set to go even faster in the coming years but at the expense of traction.

During its test drive of the Juke Nismo, Autocar learned that Nissan is planning an even more powerful version of the compact crossover.

The upgraded Juke Nismo model will have its power boosted to about 220hp and 220lb-ft of torque. It will also get a stiffer suspension that sits 20mm lower than the current Juke Nismo.

This upgrade will have too much power for Nissan's CVT and all-wheel drive system. The new top model will only be available with front-wheel drive and a manual transmission.

The new top Juke Nismo will be positioned above the standard Nismo similar to the way that MiniMINI (BMW)MINI (BMW)Germany, 2000 > present15 models

The more powerful Juke Nismo could be on sale by the end of the year.
