Kia reveals Trail'ster concept

will present at this year's Chicago Motor Show the Trail'sterKia Trail´sterRepublic of Korea, 2015 > 2015, a concept that indicates a future four wheel drive version of the Soul EVKia Soul EVRepublic of Korea, 2014 > present.

Based on the Soul, the Trail'ster is an urban vehicle with a more adventurous look. The hybrid vehicle is equipped with a 185hp 1.6 liter engine and a 35hp electric motor installed on the rear axle which gives all-wheel drive to the concept. The Trail'ster has a combined output of 220hp.

The Trail'ster has undergone some changes compared to the Soul, which includes a retractable roof and lower front and rear aluminium skid plates. In addition, the vehicle has a bespoke white painting with a bronze roof and integrated roof rack for transporting mountain bikes and snowboards.

Inside, Kia has created a design inspired by winter sports equipment such as ski goggles and snowboard clothing, finished in brown leather and aluminum. With a greater height (65mm), the Trail'ster is equipped with Pirelli snow tires.

The Trail'ster can be driven in electric mode with a very short range of 4.8km. The electric motor is mostly used as an additional source of power.

It is very probable that the Trail'ster will enter production to be included on the Soul EV range.
