Kubica certain of 2012 comeback

Since the first instant we started receiving news from Kubica after his accident in Andora in February, one thing was very clear, the Pole wanted to make a return to Formula One. Kubica is following his goal and he believes he will be back in 2012.

Recovering from several injuries in his arm there is still no official date for his return to the sport, but he strongly believes he can make it for next season. According to Autosport Kubica was asked whether he would feature on next year’s grid and answered with a “Yes”.

The Pole told that he believes the crash won't be affecting his performance in the future.

"I don't think so - I don't have any memory of the accident, and I am just aware of the consequences it had. So, to me, it's as if it never happened," he added.

Kubica main goal for now is to recover completely rather than thinking about his comeback to the tracks. The Pole is satisfied with his recovery so far.

"Physically, I am still a bit weak but my general condition is quite good," he said. "My weight has now returned to its normal level and for a few weeks I've been able to walk without help. All in all I feel pretty well.

"I am satisfied with how things are proceeding. The improvement is in line with the expectations, and luckily there are no complications that could affect the recovery time. It is still too early to have a clear picture for the timing of my return but the important thing is the final outcome not the hurry."

And about the team he wants drive for, there is no doubt for him as well. “"I'm a Lotus Renault GP driver. Of course, I'm missing not being able to drive this season but I feel that my job in Enstone isn't finished yet."
