as the greenest car of 2014/2015. The association responsible for monitoring the traffic in Germany presented the results of the annual evaluation of the green cars program and highlighted the environmental performance of the new CT 200h.
The Lexus CT 200hLexus CT200hJapan, 2014 > present hybrid model was the overall winner by a large margin, reaching a leading position in the category of compact cars. The CT 200h had already won first place in 2011.
The car rankings have been published by VCD for 25 years. This year the association has evaluated more than 400 current models taking into account the impact of emissions and noise on humans and the environment. This listing is an analysis in real environment, being a scientific barometer for public and private entities.
This year's winner, the new Lexus CT 200h is equipped with a system of high efficiency, thanks to Lexus' Hybrid Drive technology, capable of achieving emissions of just 82 g/km of CO2.

For the second time in its history, the Lexus CT 200h has been awarded the title of the most ecological car. The Lexus Hybrid Drive technology gives the CT 200h the ability of producing just 82g/km of CO2.
In second place tied with two sibling models we have the Seat Mii 1.0 Ecofuel Start&Stop. This version uses CNG fuel and is a perfect car for urban drive.
Sibling of the Seat Mii we have the Skoda Citigo 1.0 Green tec. With 98g/km of CO2 this city car is one the most ecological cars in the world according do VCD.
The last sibling is the eco up! that uses the same CNG technology as the Seat Mii and Skoda Citigo.
The new Peugeot 308 uses the new diesel BlueHDi engine to become one of the most ecological cars in the world. Thanks to this engine the car produces 96g/km of CO2.
The new e-gas technology makes the A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI g-tron S tronic the fourth most ecological car 2014/2015. This car can use petrol, CNG or Audi's e-gas and produces CO2 as low as 88g/km.
The most recent update to the Prius range hands the most popular hybrid model in the world CO2 emissions of 92g/km. For 2014/2015 the Toyota Prius earned fifth place in VCD's rankings.
