and an efficient 2.5-liter engine with a hybrid powertrain. Lexus says that the car fits into the compact executive segment (D-segment), and the car paves the way for a future Lexus mid-size coupe.

The front of the car is taken almost entirely from the LF-LC concept from January. It has a spindle grill that cascades down the front of the car and LED headlights. The mesh in the grill is made from interlocking Lexus 'L' emblems. The windshield is steeply raked and the roof reaches its peak near the rear of the car, which makes the car look rear biased. At the rear a spoiler is integrated into the body.

The interior blends the digital instrument display from the LFA and the glass infotainment system from the LC-LC. The interior is wrapped in amber leather and titanium trim.

Power for the concept comes from a 2.5-liter hybrid engine that powers the rear wheels that Lexus will be used in future models. Lexus is not revealing the precise power for the engine, but it says that the engine produces 2bhp for each gram of CO2 it produces. Lexus says that it makes less than 100g/km of CO2, which mean that it likely produces between 180hp and 200hp. It uses a CVT transmission. The suspension uses double wishbones up front and a multilink setup in the rear. It wears 20in wheels on all four corners.

New LS

Lexus' other debut in Paris is the refreshed LS that is already on sale in the US. The major obvious change is that it gets the spindle grill that all Lexus models will carry. It also gets LED headlights, running lights and taillights. Inside, the car gets a 12.3in infotainment screen.

The engine options remain the same as the before the update, but the V8LS 460Lexus LS 460Japan, 2013 > present6 photos
gets some upgrades. The 4.6-liter V8 makes 382hp, a 7hp boost. CO2 emissions are reduced for the V8 to 249g/km of CO2 and the hybridLS 600hLexus LS 600hJapan, 2013 > present9 photos

trim that adds sportier interior and exterior trim, 19in wheels, a 10mm lower suspension, 16-way adjustable sport seats and paddle shifters.
