London Gets First BMW i-Series Showroom

has announced that its first i-series showroom will be in London and be called BMW i Park Lane. It will open on July 25 and until the i-series goes on sale in 2013, it will display the two i-series concepts.

BMW says that it chose London because it is a global trendsetter and the leading megacity in Europe.

shown at BMW i Park Lane is the most advanced, production-ready version in the world and features a complete interior. The i8 is also displayed in the showroom.

BMW now says that the i3 will go on sale in late 2013 in Europe, and the i8 will not come until early 2014.

The showroom is also the first show space for BMW's i Wallbox charger that BMW will sell in addition to the cars for buyers who want a quick charger in their home. The BMW i showrooms will also arrange for installation of the Wallbox.
