Mark Webber will inherit the title of oldest driver on the Formula 1 grid next season with Michael Schumacher and Pedro de la Rosa leaving the sport. Still, the 36-year-old Webber says that he has not plans to leave the sport until he in uncompetitive.
"I'm not at the start of the career, I know that. I'm more towards the back end of my career. My goal is to put together a campaign. I have fought for championships and I've had some good and very special memories over the past few years. Your peak is all relative. You've got to piece it all together," said Webber.
Webber says that he is going to keep pushing next year and every other year until he feels like he is no longer excelling in the sport.
Webber made his name in the late 90s driving in the FIA GT series. He drove for MercedesMercedes-Benz CLK-GTRGermany, 1998 > 19995 photos
