Maserati Quattroporte Will Use Twin-Turbo V6 and Twin-Turbo V8

Pentastar V6 for the block, but it will be the first time that the engine will be sold in a turbocharged configuration. It will produce 404hp and 406lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 177mph and an estimated 0-60mph time of 5.1 seconds. The twin-turbo V6 will be the base engine. It will be available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Maserati says that this engine will also be used in the smaller GhibliGhibliMaserati GhibliItaly, 1966 > 19972 series

The optional engine will be the 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 with 523hp and 479lb-ft of torque. It will be equipped with a temporary overboost function that will boost torque to 524lb-ft. The car's top speed will be 191mph, and the 0-60mph will be about 4.7 seconds. At launch, rear-wheel drive will be the only option.

There is the possibility for hybrid or diesel engines in the Quattroporte in the future.

The new Quattroporte will go on sale next year. The car will be longer, wider and have a longer wheelbase than the previous generation, but the aluminum body and suspension will make it weight about 220lbs (100kg) less than the previous generation.
