testing in the Arctic Circle ahead of going on sale later this year. it will also be a feature car at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. McLaren aims for the car to be the best driver's car in the world. McLaren is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
McLaren shipped the car to Sweden for cold weather testing. It has sent other XP prototypes around the world to optimize the car wherever it will be sold.
The P1 is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 as the 12C

but with an added electric motor to boost power to 904hp. It also features active aerodynamic elements in the rear wing and underneath the car. It will be limited to 375 units worldwide.
