McLaren Launches in China with Four Dealers

has opened operations in China with dealers in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou. It held a party and created a video to celebrate. China is on track to become the world’s single largest auto market, and McLaren wants to be a part of that. It believes that sales in Asia will make up one third of global sales in the near future.

China is one of the most exciting and dynamic markets in the world where we will make every effort to be well received,” said Ron Dennis, McLaren Chairman.

While the McLaren company is 50 years old this year, it has only become serious about selling road cars in the last three years. It has 45 dealers worldwide. Its goal is to launch a new model or derivative every year, and so far it has done that.

McLaren sold 1,400 cars in 2012 and has just built its 3,000th 12CMcLaren MP4-12CUnited Kingdom, 2009 > present15 versions
