Mercedes-Benz Considering Building CLA in Mexico at Nissan Plant

at Nissan's factory in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to fulfill demand in North and South America. He says the decision is at least a year away, and production would not start until 2018 because it would involve expansion of the factory. 

The CLA is currently exclusively built in Hungary, but Mercedes wants to expand production to protect itself from global currency changes.

"Mexico is the best location for the United States," said Zetsche.
